So, here I am, posting an update on this mod in 2021, a whopping 8 years after I made it. According to many posts over the last ~5 years, all of which I've never read, this mod broke something in The Witcher 2's damage model, ruining saves and basically breaking the game unless you wipe and start again. To all those who suffered this fate...sorry! Truly!
I had no intention to keep the mod updated. That's life. I'm no dev, and this was an extremely crude brute force method of extending the animated 3D grass LOD that looked so messy at TW2's launch. It's super shitty when your saves get busted because of some stuff you downloaded and thought would work, so I feel you, but for what it's worth it was not causing issues around the time I made it. I suspect something broke in a specific regional update, or the Steam update, or some later rollout by CDPR updating the game logic, that wrecked how the mod does what it does. I couldn't possibly predict this, and it wasn't observable on my end. I'm also not a professional, so all this stuff is a "download at your own risk" kind of thing. Still assy though, and I feel a bit bad. Sorry all.
Anyway, don't download this junk, or do so at your own enormous risk. Check the posts. Click the tab. People have built neat workarounds and repackaged the mod that fixes a lot of this shit. Please download that instead. Thanks! And kudos to those who identified the problem, and fixed it.

Notes: Performance hit quite substantial. Search the nexus for Infinite Grass Render Distance v1 (http://witcher2.nexusmods.com/mods/654/) for a release that changes only the grass, and thus is less likely to cripple your framerate.
